What is ADHD?

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a chronic condition that affects millions of children and often continues into adulthood. ADHD includes a combination of persistent problems, such as difficulty sustaining attention, hyperactivity, and impulsive behavior.

What are the causes of ADHD?
The cause of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is still somewhat uncertain today. It is a heterogeneous and complex neurobiological disorder, which cannot be explained by a single cause, but by a series of genetic conditions together with other environmental factors.

Attention: difficulties in maintaining attention and concentration, does not comply with instructions, cannot complete school tasks, is easily distracted, easily loses school objects, easily forgets things, dislikes those activities that require them mental effort.

Hyperactivity and Impulsivity: often fidgets and leaves his seat when he is expected to be seated, climbs on inappropriate and dangerous places, talks excessively, has trouble waiting turns, interrupts others or meddles in games or conversations, cannot participate in activities calmly.
